Banquette Seating

A banquette is an upholstered bench often configured along walls or to make booths. It’s one of the most versatile seating options and requires minimal space to create the maximum of seats.

It’s a clever space saver as well as being super stylish, and creates the opportunity for under-seat storage through hinged panel seats or drawers in the banquette base.

Banquette seating also provides the option to bring some fabric into the area which can soften the hard lines of a kitchen and absorb sound. It’s a great opportunity to play with pattern, texture and colour!

Below are our banquette styles, these can be made with or without storage.

Creating your bespoke banquette

The process starts with an initial conversation over email or phone to discuss your ideas, thoughts and requirements (don’t worry if these aren’t very developed – that’s what we are here for!). Some clients already have the base of their banquette whereas others require the whole build from scratch.

The next step is a home consultation. During this consultation Mark will measure your space and discuss his recommendations relating to size and style, while Jo will go through fabrics that will work with your new or existing decor. With banquettes, there’s also the base to consider which we can paint or create in a wood finish, we can even colour match to existing paintwork if required.

Design options for the banquette are generally: fluted vertical, fluted horizontally, deep-buttoned back, floating buttons back, shaped with nail finish, plain with piping. We can show you examples of all of these during your consultation

At this stage we have enough information to provide you with a quote which will be emailed out to you followed by fabric ideas/swatches sent through the post.

Once we start construction you have the optional opportunity to visit our workshop to make sure it fits your requirements and let you decide on the cushion inners.

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service during every step of the process from the initial introduction to your delivery. Our delivery team will deliver and install your banquette for you, before taking away and recycling all the packaging. All that will be left for you to do is sit down and enjoy it!
